We've improved our airport connections along our route, our direct trains from Nottingham to Luton Airport Parkway take off every hour. If you're flying from Liverpool, take one of our new hourly trains direct from Nottingham to Liverpool South Parkway, just a few minutes from the airport. The state-of-the-art East Midlands Parkway station provides faster than ever access to East Midlands Airport, just six miles away with a shuttle service every 30 minutes.

London Luton Airport

Get ready for take-off with a train to Luton Airport Parkway – only 25 minutes from London and just over an hour from Leicester. Shave valuable time off your journey by skipping the headaches of traffic jams and car parking hassle with a direct link from Nottingham to Luton Airport Parkway every hour.

Take the train to Luton Airport Parkway station, where a shuttle bus can transfer you to the terminal, five minutes away. The bus services coincide with the trains, and leave every 10 minutes.

East Midlands Airport

Conveniently placed between Nottingham, Leicester and Derby in the heart of the UK, East Midlands Airport can be reached more easily than ever from all over the region. Passengers travelling to East Midlands Airport by train can do so quickly and effortlessly from East Midlands Parkway via the Railink bus, whisking you from the train station to the airport in 10-15 minutes, or via Skylink buses at Nottingham, Derby and Loughborough train stations:

  • Passengers travelling to and from the east of the country (Grantham, Lincoln, Newark, Peterborough and Mansfield) can connect at Nottingham train station using the Nottingham Skylink bus or East Midlands Parkway using the Railink bus 
  • Passengers travelling to and from the north and west of the country (Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and York) can connect at Derby train station using the Derby Skylink bus
  • Passengers travelling to and from the south of the country (Northampton, Luton and London) can connect at Loughborough train station using the Loughborough Skylink bus or East Midlands Parkway using the Railink bus.

There is also a taxi office at East Midlands Airport operated by Checker Cars, linking the airport to stations served by East Midlands Trains.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Imagine... travelling with ease direct to Liverpool's John Lennon Airport. Forget the traffic jams and the expensive parking fees, give yourself plenty of time to catch your flight. If you’re flying from Liverpool, take one of our new hourly trains direct from Sheffield to Liverpool South Parkway, just a few minutes from the airport.

London Stansted Airport

If you are travelling to Stansted, leave the car at home, cut out the congestion and take the fast lane straight to the airport.

To travel from the East Midlands to London Stansted, simply travel with East Midlands Trains to Ely, then change for an Arriva CrossCountry service to Stansted.

London Gatwick Airport

Avoid the hold-ups and slice straight through the capital by hopping on the train to London Gatwick.

To get there from the East Midlands, travel with East Midlands Trains to London St Pancras International. There are direct First Capital Connect trains from London St Pancras International to Gatwick.

Manchester Airport

Avoid traffic and travel from the East MIdlands to Manchester Airport, simply travel with East Midlands Trains to Manchester Piccadilly then change for a TransPennine Express or Northern Rail service to Manchester Airport.

Robin Hood Airport

Travel with East Midlands Trains to Robin Hood Airport by travelling to Sheffield station for a connecting Northern Rail, TransPennine Express or CrossCountry Service direct to Doncaster. The dedicated 707 shuttle service combined with local services link the Airport to Doncaster Train station every 30 minutes.

Note

When using our services to travel to an airport, we recommend arriving at the airport station at least one hour prior to check-in time. You should also allow one hour for cross-London connections.
