Recognised as a Heritage Diesel Railcard Centre of Excellent by the Department for Transport, The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway serves up striking views of the valley, along with welcoming customer service and luxury afternoon teas (be sure to book the latter in advance).
Steam trains will also take you up the 1 in 27 incline to Ravenstor, where you can stop off to explore local attractions.
